There is currently no centralized avenue or student-run support for exploring and finding careers related to global affairs. Careers in global affairs largely encompass non-profits, international institutions, multilateral organizations, think tanks, research institutions, consulting, finance, and even graduate school. Students often overlook the variety of paths available, with the existence of ​​both public and private sector approaches to development in the fields including, but not limited to, financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, program monitoring and design, global health, emerging markets, infrastructure, and more. Wellesley for Global Affairs will plan events where Wellesley alums can talk to students in an informal setting, allowing for more transparent dialogue about alum's time at Wellesley, career advice, and overall life advice.

Wellesley FreeStyle is a hip-hop dance troupe with influences from different musical genres and styles of dance. Established by Melissa Mackie Raz, Zaïmah “Jamia” Sulayman, and Mijha Butcher Godfrey in 1997, FreeStyle was created from the co-founders’ passion for dance and performance. 25 years later, and the love continues to burn strongly, with FreeStyle’s annual showcases Spotlight and Jam On It showcases. We believe dance is an enhancer of the college experience for dancers and non-dancers alike. As the premiere hip-hop dance organization on campus, we strive to promote and maintain an interest in all aspects of dance culture within and outside of the college community through original, creative choreography, technical and expressive performances, critical observation of dance, and an understanding of dance in the various contexts of history and culture. Wellesley College ITF Taekwon-Do Club’s mission is to provide an opportunity for students to practice the martial art of Taekwon-Do and build community with others interested in the art. First and foremost, Taekwon-Do is the art of self-defense. However, Taekwon-Do is not only committed to promoting physical fitness and strength in participants, but is also largely focused on mental health, building confidence, and personally bettering oneself. General Choi Hong Hi–the founder of Taekwon-Do–set the philosophical basis of the martial art to be based on the following five tenets: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit. The Wellesley College ITF Taekwon-Do Club strives to instill these five tenets in our practice of the martial art.

For over 75 years, the group has been charming audiences up and down the East Coast, hosting guest groups, and recording songs to share music with friends and family back home. Our repertoire includes pop, jazz, throwbacks, and traditional Wellesley songs, and we are known for our fun, high-energy, red-hot a cappella.
